Residents besiege Edo House of Assembly amidst police siege
Residents of Edo State are currently trooping to the State House of Assembly which is currently under siege by men of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).
Moments ago, Godwin Obaseki, governor of the state and his deputy, Philip Shuaibu, arrived the state legislative premises under lock for fumigation of Coronavirus scare.
Their arrival is said to ensure the plot to illegally remove them from office is thwarted. Our reporter around the area gathered that residents of the state capital are heading to the assembly complex.
Some of them are chanting solidarity songs in support of the state governor who is standing re-election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
