Residents flee as Boko Haram attacks Chibok community

Boko Haram terrorists are reportedly attacking a community in Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State.

Chibok is where the terrorists abducted over 200 girls in 2014.

TheCable in its report said the attack occurred Tuesday evening while farmers where returning to their respective houses.

The news medium quoting anonymous sources said houses were in flames as the attack, said to have started at about 6pm, was on.

“People were just returning to their houses from the farm when the insurgents came in,” a resident who spoke on anonymity said.

“They came in through Forfor, and our people are running for safety as we speak,” the resident added.

Troops are said to be en route to Korongilum, the community which is under attack.

This is happening a week after the president paid a condolence visit to the state over an attack that claimed the lives of over 30 persons.
