APC speaks on ‘bomb attack’ on Abuja-Kaduna train

The All Progressive Congress (APC) has reacted to reports of attack on Abuja-Kaduna train late Wednesday.

The incident made public by former federal lawmaker Shehu Sani was confirmed by the Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC) which halted its services on the affected route.

An explosive said to be targeting the one of the drivers was said to have went off damaging the track of the passenger train.

Speaking on the development, the ruling party said the attack was despicable but Nigerians will overcome at last.

“Nigerians by now have realised that the APC led-government of President Muhammadu Buhari means well for Nigerians and is doing everything possible to deliver infrastructure to Nigerians amidst difficult economic times, globally,” John Akpanudoedehe, national secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) caretaker committee said in a statement.

“We must stay united so we can defeat the agents of destruction who have vowed to set Nigeria backwards.

“Just this morning, an Abuja-Kaduna passenger train was attacked by criminals, depriving Nigerians the services it provides. This is so despicable, but together we shall overcome them.”
