Few hours after Buhari’s condolence visit, Boko Haram attacks Maiduguri

Maiduguri, the Borno state capital on Wednesday was attacked by Boko Haram terrorists.

The attack comes few hours after the condolence visit of President Muhammadu Buhari who came to sympathize with the state over a Sunday attack that claimed 30 lives.

Some women and children were said to have been abducted in Auno community by the terrorists during the attack.

Mr Buhari who visited the state while returning from a foreign trip was booed by residents of the state capital.

Sounds of gunshots was reported to have rented the air around 7pm. Moments later, houses in the Jiddari Polo area where set ablaze.

Meanwhile, President Buhari has assured Nigerians on improved security in no distant time.
