Unknown gunmen have reportedly listed ten out of the 21 local government secretariats in Anambra State that should expect its attacks.
The PUNCH reports that letters were written to Ihiala, Aguata, Nnewi South, Awka North, Awka South, Idemili North, Idemili South, Orumba South, Orumba North and Anambra East.
The national daily also reports that security agencies were also advised to get “ready for action in Biafra Land.”
“These local government areas should wait for us soon. We are warning our dear Professor (Governor Charles Soludo) that it is time for action and not time to speak big grammar and talking,” reads the epistle. “All the security men occupying should get ready for action.
“Go and tell the President to release our oga (boss), Onyendu, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, or face continuous war – FINAL WARNING.”
TODAY POLITICS observed that three of the listed councils have already been attacked and razed.
While the most recent attack on Idemilli North local government headquarter occurred yesterday, May 16, 2022, Nnewi South council secretariat was razed down on March 31, 2022.
A week after the late March attack, Aguata local government secretariat was similarly razed on April 7.
