Habeeb Okikiola, a popular musician known as Portable was on Tuesday arrested by the Lagos State Police Command.
Mr Okikiola was reportedly arrested for refusing to clear a balance he is owing when he purchased a G-Wagon worth ₦27 million from a car dealer in the state, Police spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, said.
Trending social media clip seen by TODAY POLITICS shows when Portable attempted to evade arrest by scaling a gate to escape after he was shown a document said to be an arrest warrant.
“Yes, Portable has been arrested,” Mr Hundeyin confirmed. “He bought G-Wagon for N27m, paid N13m and refused to pay the rest, claiming the vehicle was bad. We arrested him today.”
