The Secretary to the State Government of Ondo State, Ifedayo Abegunde, has resigned from his position, reports Punch Newspapers.
Mr Abegunde is also rumored to be warming up to dump the All Progressive Congress (APC) which is his present party.
This development is coming weeks after the deputy state governor, Agboola Ajayi, decamped from the APC to the PDP.
Mr Ajayi is said to have indicated interest in contesting the upcoming governorship election in the state slated for October 10.
This is said to have pitched the state number two man against his principal, Rotimi Akeredolu, the state governor who is interested in going for second term.
Messrs Ajayi and Abegunde are said to be political friends.
