Ayodeji Balogun, Nigerian singer popularly known as Wizkid, engaged Lauretta Onochie, social media aide to President Muhammadu Buhari, in war of words.
The quarrel began after the Friday tweet of Mr Buhari, wherein the Nigerian leader wished President of the United States, Donald Trump and his wife, quick recovery from Coronavirus infections they were reported to have contracted.
“I wish US President, Donald Trump and his wife, Melania, quick and full recovery from Covid-19,” the president tweeted.
Reacting, the singer addressed his country’s leader as an old man, urging him to pay attention to the rising insecurity bedeviling the nation.
Donald trump is not your business!
Old man! Police/Sarz still killing
Nigerian youth on a daily! Do something!
Nothing concern u for America!

The response did not augur well with Onochie who described Wizkid as a young lad who was still growing up although yet to be taught manners of approach.
“Its not disrespectful to call anyone old. Its the way and manner Ayo Balogun addressed the President that leaves a sour taste in the mouth,” Ms Onochie said in a tweet yesterday.
“He exhibited crass ignorance, insensitivity and childishness. But hey, he’s a #DumbkidNotWhizKid When he grows up, he might learn respect,” she added.
In a swift response, Wizkid slammed the presidential aide, saying asking for good governance has nothing to do with age.
“lol a 77 year old man is not young ma.. You are a woman and a mother and kids are getting killed by police/sars and this is all you have to say? shame on you!!! shame on you!! I am a father and age has nothing to do with demanding for a better governance in my country!!” he said.
