DHQ reveals number of military personnel killed in Niger state

The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) says thirty-six military personnel were recently ambushed and killed in Niger state.

The director Defence Media Operations (DMO), Major General Edward Buba, made this known on Thursday during the biweekly briefing of the DMO in Abuja.

He said the casualties are from the ambush of troops in Niger State and an evacuation helicopter that crashed on Monday.

Mr Buba did not disclose further information as regarding the incidents, saying investigations were still ongoing.
