David Adeleke, popular Nigerian musician, has disbursed the N250 million he promised to distribute to orphanage homes in the country.
Mr Adeleke, on November 17, last year, generated the sum of N200 million from friends whom he appealed to financially return whatever favour they might have gotten from him.
The artist generously added N50 million to the donated funds while constituting a committee that will oversee its disbursement.
In a statement released on Monday, the musician popularly known as Davido said the funds has been distributed nationwide.
He thereafter released the full list of 292 beneficiaries in 27 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
Orphanage homes in Abia, Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bauchi, Bayelsa, Benue, Cross River, Delta, Ebonyi, Edo, Ekiti, Enugu, Gombe, Imo, Kaduna, Kwara, Lagos, Nasarawa, Niger, Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Oyo, Plateau, Rivers and Yobe states were listed as beneficiaries.
