Dave Umahi, embattled governor of Ebonyi State, has reacted to the court judgment removing him from office.
A federal high court in Abuja had ordered his removal alongside the deputy governorordered his removal alongside the deputy governor for defecting to the All Progressive Congress APC from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Justice Inyang Ekwo also sacked state lawmakers for defecting to the APC from the PDP while ordering all those sacked to stop parading themselves as elected officials of the state.
Addressing newsmen at his office in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital, Mr Umahi said he remained the state governor.
While urging his supporters to laugh over the decision of the court, he described the judgement as “jungle justice that was purchased.”
Mr Umahi said his administration has petitioned the National Judicial Council (NJC) over the conduct of the judge.
