Tinubu holds first security meeting with service, intelligence chiefs

President Bola Tinubu on Thursday met with Nigeria’s top security and intelligence chiefs in Abuja.

The security meeting with Mr Tinubu is his first since he took over from his predecessor, Muhammadu Buhari earlier in the week.

Present at the closed door gathering are: Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Farouk Yahaya; Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Awwal Gambo; the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Isiaka Amao; and the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba.

Others in attendance include: The Director-General of the State Security Service (SSS), Yusuf Bichi; and the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ahmed Rufai Abubakar.
