Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia has cautioned residents of the state to stop querying his administration about the uncompleted Aba-Osisioma flyover project.
Mr Ikpeazu gave the caution on Wednesday while speaking on Magic FM radio in Aba, the commercial hub of the state.
“Most of the people demanding updates on the flyover don’t have vehicles, they are moving about with legs,” he lamented. “What business does those walking have with the flyover?
He said rather than complain the residents should be grateful that the bridge which has been under construction for about four years now is nearing completion.
He warned they should not bother about the project they earlier described as a “centre table” when the construction began in early 2017.
“They should be happy that we are almost done with the flyover. We are currently working on the stone base of the flyover,” he said, adding that, “I started the flyover and I have been funding it with the little money we have and people should not bother about the flyover.”
