Anambra State governor, Charles Soludo, has picked a vehicle from indigenous automobile assembler, Innoson Motors, as his official car.
By the action, he has fulfilled an earlier promise of promoting local brands. Mr Soludo drove into the government house on Thursday during his inauguration ceremony in a black Innoson SUV.
The management of the indigenous firm, in a statement by Cornel Osigwe, its head of Corporate Communication on Saturday, thanked the new governor for keeping to his promise of using their product as his official car.
“The company is delighted to see him keep his words on the occasion of his Inauguration,” reads the statement.
“The company is grateful that Mr. Governor wants to look inward, partner with and promote local products. The Innoson Group look forward to a fruitful Partnership with the government under your leadership and wishes to reiterate her commitment to support your Government in any way possible inorder to ensure it achieves her vision,” the auto firm added.
