The National Anthem Bill 2024 has been passed by the Nigerian Senate on Tuesday.
The bill, now awaiting presidential assent to become law, seeks the reinstatement of the old anthem, “Nigeria, We Hail Thee.”
This is coming barely a week after the House of Representatives endorsed the bill
