The Rivers State House of Assembly has invited immediate-past commissioners who resigned from their positions for re-screening and reconfirmation.
The commissioners, 9 in number, had stepped aside at the peak of the political feud involving Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his predecessor and current Federal Capital Territory (FCT) minister Nyesom Wike.
Their return is part of the peace deal brokered by President Bola Tinubu.
A statement from the assembly clerk, Emeka Amadi, on Monday said the nominees are to appear before the Martin Amaewhule-led chamber for the exercise on Wednesday.
“Nominees are to come along with 40 sets of Curriculum Vitae (CV), photocopies of their credentials and their originals,” the statement read in part.
