The governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, has ordered two visiting officials of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) to either mandatorily quarantine themselves or leave the state.
Mr Bello gave the order on Thursday while welcoming the officials who are in the state to assist it in the fight against Coronavirus disease.
The governor said that the step was to ensure that the laid down procedure of checkmating the scourge by NCDC was strictly followed.
He then asked that the NCDC officials be subjected to testing and isolated in the state quarantine centre or leave the state immediately if they refused.
The state is among 3 out of 36 states that has not recorded any confirmed case of the deadly virus.
