Abducted UNIABUJA staff, family members regain freedom

Four abducted staff of University of Abuja and family members have regained freedom Friday morning.

The kidnapped victim were abducted on Tuesday when bandits raided the academic institution.

Confirming their release is DSP Josephine Adeh, spokesperson of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) command of the force.

The command spokesperson said those who abducted the victims have also been napped.

“The Fct Police Command wishes to inform members of the public that all abducted victims of the university of Abuja were rescued and reunited with their families through a joint operation with other security agencies,” Mrs Adeh announced.

The varsity also confirmed this in a statement on its Facebook page Friday morning.
