Ifeanyi Okowa, has been reelected as the state governor of Delta State in the just concluded governorship election in the state.
Mr Okowa of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) polled 925,274 votes to trounced his major challenger, Great Ogboru, of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who garnered 215,938 votes.
The state returning officer of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Serth Jaja, said the state had a total of 2,831,205 registered voters, adding that 1,188,784 voters were accredited.
Jaja, the Vice-Chancellor, Federal University, Otuoke, Bayelsa State, said Okowa won clearly in 23 out of the 25 local government areas of the state, leaving Ogboru with just 2.
