Governorship candidate of the Action Alliance (AA) in the last Imo governorship election, Uche Nwosu, arrested at the weekend has been released.
A statement from his Media special adviser, Nwadike Chikezie, said Mr Nwosu who was picked up on Sunday by the police did not spend the night in custody.
“I have spoken with him and he extended his greetings to all of us out there,” Mr Chikezie confirmed. “While we await police report on why the abduction and arrest, we call on everyone to remain calm and focused because God is in charge of the whole situation.”
