Minimum Wage: Labour rejects FG’s N60,000 offer, demands N494,000

The organised Labour has rejected the N60,000 minimum wage offer of the federal government, a N3000 increment on the N57,000 offered earlier.

At the four negotiation talks of the tripartite committee on Tuesday, the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) demanded for N494,000, a N3000 deduction from its earlier N497,000 request.

The meeting was, however, deadlocked as talks ended without an agreement on what to pay as a new minimum wage.
