A warning strike and protest by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in Kaduna State has led to the workforce body national chairman, Ayuba Wabba, been declared wanted.
Mr Wabba had led workers in protest to force the state government to rescind its decision to sack some workers in the state.
The action halted economic and social activities in the state with workers in the railway, aviation, medical sectors among others joining the protest staged by the Congress.
During the demonstration, the protesters nicknamed the governor Hell Rufai but TODAY POLITICS could not ascertain, as at press time, if this is why the leadership of the NLC has been declared wanted.
Mr El-rufai tweeting on his Twitter handle Tuesday morning said Mr Wabba and his cohorts are wanted for economic sabotage and attack on public infrastructure.
“KADUNA UPDATE: Ayuba Wabba & others of @NLCHeadquarters declared wanted for economic sabotage & attacks on public infrastructure under Miscellaneous Offences Act,” the governor said. “Anyone that knows where he is hiding should send a message to @MOJKaduna. KDSG. There will be a handsome reward!”
