Christopher Dega, a security aide to Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State, has been murdered in Jos, Plateau State.
Mr Dega, a retired Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of police, was shot in a restaurant at Bukuru on Tuesday.
“Investigations so far appeared that he was trailed and shot,” the force spokesperson in Plateau command, Gabriel Ubah, said in a statement.
Mr Ubah also announced that some suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder as an investigation is ongoing.
