Gunmen abduct son of Buhari’s former Minister

The son of former minister of health, Isaac Adewole, has been abducted by gunmen.

Mr Adewole served in the first term administration of President Muhammadu Buhari. The Nigerian leader is yet to appoint ministers after been sworn-in on May 29 for another term of four years.

The incident occurred on Tuesday evening according to a report on the The Nation Newspapers.

Named Dayo Adewole, the victim is said to have been abducted at his farm in Iroko, near Fiditi in Afijio Local Government Area of Oyo State.

The development is said to have forced the former minister to abort his foreign trip as security operatives in conjunction with local hunters has been dispatched to search for the abductee.

The abductors are yet to make their intentions known as at press time.
