The federal government says looted funds the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari has recovered since assuming office in 2015 is now $1 billion.

Abubakar Malami, Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) disclosed this at the end of the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in Abuja on Wednesday.

He said the recovered loots have been channeled to different sectors of the economy, including poverty alleviation.
