Fani-Kayode says Nigeria owes Atiku debt of gratitude, gives reason

Femi Fani-Kayode, former Aviation Minister, says the country owes Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), debt of gratitude.

Mr Fani-Kayode who stated this on Friday said the former Vice President achieved what no other politician could since the formation of the opposition party in 1998.

The former minister who served under the PDP said the Adamawa-born politician murdered and buried the party which had been in power for sixteen years but was ousted in 2015, an act that deserves appreciation.

“One thing we can’t take from Atiku Abubakar, the Waziri Adamawa, is the fact that he single-handedly did what no-one else managed to do since 1999:” the short-fused politician said across his social media accounts, continuing: “he murdered & buried the PDP & ensured that it can NEVER be resurrected or rise again. For this alone Nigeria owes him a debt of gratitude.”

Mr Abubakar, a serial presidential contestant, has been seeking the exalted office after serving alongside former President Olusegun Obasanjo from 1999 to 2007.

He has decamped to several political parties with hopes of clinching the seat but continue to fail repeatedly.
