Emirates Airlines has announced its intention to resume daily flights from Nigeria to Dubai by October 1.
It said in a statement on Thursday that the service will return with Boeing 777-300ER in operations.
“We are excited to resume our services to Nigeria,” announced Adnan Kazim, the airline’s deputy president and chief commercial officer. “The Lagos-Dubai service has traditionally been popular with customers in Nigeria and we hope to reconnect leisure and business travellers to Dubai and onwards to our network of over 140 destinations.
“We thank the Nigerian government for their partnership and support in re-establishing this route and we look forward to welcoming passengers back onboard.”
The airline suspended its Lagos-Dubai operations in 2022 over a diplomatic row with the Nigerian government pertaining to the repatriation of its trapped funds.
