Kayode Fayemi, the state governor of Ekiti, has tested positive for Coronavirus disease.
Mr Fayemi, who made this known through his Twitter handle, said although he has gone into self-isolation, his deputy, Otunba Egbeyemi, will pilot critical tasks of hic administration.
He said the latest test that shows he has contracted the deadly virus is the third he has done after the previous two returned negative.
“I took my third Covid-19 test yesterday and it came back positive. I’m generally ok and I’m already self isolating at home and receiving the best of care from my medical team. I’m delegating critical tasks to my Deputy but will continue routine duty from home. JKF” he said in the Wednesday tweet.
