Godwin Obaseki, the governor of Edo State and Osagie Ize-iyamu, a former Secretary to the State Government, have picked the expression of interest and nomination forms of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
The aspirants picked the form at the National Headquarters of the party, Abuja on Wednesday. While Ize-iyamu secured his after being adopted by a faction of the party as its consensus candidate for the party primary slated for June 22, that of the governor was picked by Obaseki Mandate Forum (OMF).
The forms cost about N22.5million.
The duo are expected to slug it out at the direct primary and the winner becomes the governorship candidate of the party who will be presented to Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
