Godwin Obaseki, the governor of Edo State, on Sunday visited his colleague and governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike.
The visit might not be unconnected to his disqualification from seeking re-election on the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and the rumored plans of him defecting to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Mr Obaseki on Sunday said he has began consultations and will finalise it with a visit to President Muhammadu Buhari, whom he had earlier visited before being disqualified from participating in the APC primary.
He said his next political move will be made public at the completion of his consultations.
The governor has been at political war with Adams Oshiomhole, his predecessor and national chairman of the APC who has decided to use all arsenal at his disposal to kick out his successor from office.
The Edo governor and his host are still in a meeting as at press time.
