Abba Kyari, disgraced cop who was accused of being a member of a drug syndicate, has been granted bail.
Mr Kyari was granted bail by Justice James Kolawole Omotosho of Federal High Court 9 in Abuja on Thursday.
The judge hinged his decision on the refusal of Mr Kyari to escape from custody when the correctional facility where he was detained was attacked by terrorists who struck to free their detained colleagues last year.
Justice Omotosho said the drug trafficking charges levelled against the suspended cop are bailable offences and does not consider Mr Kyari a flight risk.
