About twelve lawmakers-elect of the Edo State House of Assembly have been taken oath of office, information reaching TODAY POLITICS suggests.
The gathering which had 17 lawmakers present took place at an undisclosed location still sketchy as at the time of filling this report.
Agbaje Imam from Akoko Edo was nominated Speaker of the house.
An earlier attempt to use the Edo State House of Assembly complex for the ceremony failed due to the intervention of Godwin Obaseki, the state governor.
Mr Obaseki has ordered the immediate renovation of the complex and work has already commenced.
