The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has extended its ongoing industrial action by two months.
The body had embarked on a one month strike which expires on March 14 to press home their demands from the Nigerian government.
The decision to extend the strike was taken at the union’s National Executive Council (NEC) meeting held in Abuja Sunday night, reports BBC and Vanguard Newspapers.
An official statement by the academic body announcing the extension, sources confirmed, is being drafted as at press time.
