Elisha Abbo, lawmaker representing Adamawa North at the Senate, has pleaded not guilty to the one count charge of assault preferred against him.
Mr Abbo was arraigned on Monday after allegedly assaulting an Abuja lady at an adult toy shop.
He had apologized at the instance of Atiku Abubakar, the 2019 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who asked him to do so.
While being arraigned at a magistrate Court sitting in Zuba area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), the lawmaker pleaded not guilty to the one count charge of assault brought against him by the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).
Magistrate Abdullahi Ilellah, granted the Adamawa lawmaker bail to the tune of N5million.
