The restriction of Omoyele Sowore, publisher of Sahara Reporters, to Abuja, has been lifted by the Court of Appeal in the nation’s capital.
A federal high court had barred the presidential aspirant from leaving Abuja as part of his bail conditions in a suit involving him and the State Security Services (SSS) in 2019.
His lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN), appealed against the verdict of the lower court in a suit marked CA/A/778/21.
Tweeting from his verified Twitter handle, the politician said the Appeal Court has lifted the restriction, a freedom that will now allow him tour states of the federation for his political campaign on the platform of the African Action Congress (AAC).
“BREAKING: Court of Appeal in Abuja saying my restriction to Abuja is excessive and now lifted!” the tweep said Wednesday morning.
