Lawmaker representing Anambra South Senatorial District, Ifeanyi Ubah, has emerged the gubernatorial candidate of the Young Progressive Party (YPP).
Mr Ubah emerged unopposed during a primary election in Abuja on Thursday and has been cleared by the leadership of the party to fly its flag during the November 6 governorship election in the South-East state.
In his acceptance speech, the Senator who expressed confidence that the troubling security situation in the Igbo predominantly region would not affect the conduct of the election, vowed to ensure his party emerged victorious during the exercise.
