Adams Oshiomhole, esrtwhile national chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) says Godwin Obaseki, the governor of Edo State, has not initiated and completed any projects since the latter became governor.
Mr Oshiomhole, a former governor of the state, who ensured Mr Obaseki succeeds him in office in 2016, made the above remark on Friday morning.
He has been at political war with his successor whom he prevented from using the platform of the APC to seek re-election in the gubernatorial election scheduled for September 19.
The governor on his part, moved to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and has secured the ticket of the party, taunting projects he claimed to have executed since he took over the affairs of the state.
But in a Friday tweet, the former governor said all the projects been showcased are the ones he initiated while he held sway as governor, adding that the incumbent governor has none to point at as his.
He also said it was time Osagie Ize-Iyamu, the governorship candidate of the APC whom he had earlier described as a thief unworthy of handling public funds, take over from Obaseki.
“Ask Obaseki to show you just a single project initiated and commissioned by his government for the good people of Edo state and he will end up showing you all projects done by Adams Oshiomhole,” he said.
“Time to move forward with Ize Iyamu,” the former APC helmsman added.
