A Nigerian soldier escaped being shot by his colleague in a trending video circulating on various social media platforms.
The twenty-three seconds clip which began midway into a shooting spree showed a yet-to-be identified unprovoked soldier opening live rounds in a residential area.
While the trigger happy military personnel was in motion opening fire, his colleague beside him who was also armed assisted him by bearing the chain bullets in his hands.
The second personnel, out of excitement, was shooting and hailing his colleagues who was turning round while the shooting directed at houses around the vicinity went on.
He thought his trigger happy colleague was done when the shooting was paused but narrowly escaped being shot when the said personnel abruptly turned and continued shooting before other of their colleagues in the environment was captured in the video.
Nigerians, including rights activist, Chidi Odinkalu, condemned the shooting said to have occurred in Isi Ngwu village of Ngbowo in Awgu council area of Enugu State although TODAY POLITICS is yet to independently verify the location as at press time.
