Micro-blogging platform, Twitter, has removed the #EndSARS emoji it created in solidarity during the historic demonstrations demanding extensive police reforms.
TODAY POLITICS observed Saturday afternoon that the emoji made up of a fist in green white green colors has been removed.
The development comes a day after the Nigerian government banned the U.S social networking giant operations in the country for deleting a remark of President Muhammadu Buhari adjudged genocidal.
Despite the ban, Nigerians are using Virtual Private Network (VPN) to bypass the ban which became effective Saturday morning.
As at press time, it is not yet unclear why the platform took down the emoji.
