Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State has taken over the leadership at the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF).
Mr Tambuwal who until now was the Vice Chairman of the forum succeeds outgoing Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State whose tenure as governor ends next month.
In a statement by the Director, Media and Public Affairs of NGF, Abdulrazaque Bello-Barkindo on Thursday, the Sokoto helmsman is expected to pilot the affairs of the NGF till next year May when a fresh election takes place.
