The Supreme Court has affirmed Ahmad Aliyu as the duly elected governor of Sokoto state, dismissing appeals by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Sa’idu Umar.
The apex court, affirming the decisions of the lower courts, on Thursday, said the appeals were without merits.
The five-member panel held that the appellants failed to prove their claim of non-compliance with the electoral act.
