The Supreme Court has affirmed Agbu Kefas as the duly elected governor of Taraba state, dismissing appeals filed by the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) and its candidate, Yahaya Sani.
Delivering judgment on Thursday, the apex court said the appeals were dismissed for grossly lacking in merit.
Mr Sani and his party had alleged non compliance with the electoral act, irregularities and other malpractices, asking the court to pronounce him winner of the election on ground of scoring majority of the lawful votes cast.
