The senate has confirmed Lauretta Onochie, a presidential aide, as the chairperson of the Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
The upper legislative chamber confirmed her and 12 other nominees after Amos Bulus, chairman of the Niger Delta committee, presented a report on Tuesday.
The red chamber’s action comes days after a federal high court ordered it to halt the confirmation of the nominees pending the determination of the suit before it.
President Muhammadu Buhari had asked the senate to confirm the nominees.
