Two commissioners have resigned from their positions in the Rivers State Executive Council, citing unfavorable working atmospheres.
Chinedu Mmom and Gift Worlu heading Education and Housing ministries separately turned in their resignation letters on Wednesday, May 15.
Their decisions to step aside are due to the political rift involving Governor Similanayi Fubara and their benefactor and current federal capital territory minister Nyesom Wike.
Mr Wike played a vital role in ensuring Mr Fubara becomes his successor but the relationship between them went sour and has factionalised the state legislature.
