Armed men of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) have taken over the premises of the Edo State House of Assembly.
This is coming a day after the leadership of the legislative chamber raised alarm saying there were plots to violently takeover of the premises.
The alleged plan was given as reason for impeaching Yekini Idiaye, then deputy speaker of the house.
The opposition All Progressive Congress (APC) and a serving governor of the party were fingered as arrowheads in the plan described as dubious by the speaker of the house, Frank Okiye.
