Men of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and the #OccupyLekkiTollGate protesters are running around at the Lekki tollgate, Lagos State.
The demonstrators are kicking against the decision to reopen the premises which remained shut after dozens were allegedly massacred last year October 20.
Despite warnings by the government to shelve the protests, the peaceful protesters remained defiant and showed up at the venue.
While most of them were brutally beaten and arrested, others stressed some police officers who were chasing them.
The defiant protesters and policemen are engaged in a run around match around the protest venue as at press time.
Meanwhile, the clampdown continued as more demonstrators and passersby were arrested and taken away. One of the Black Maria owned by Lekki Concession Company (LCC) operators of the Lekki tollgate which had arrested protesters onboard was seen being pushed by workers before it could start.
