The Plateau State House of Assembly has impeached its speaker, Abok Ayuba.
Mr Ayuba was removed during plenary Thursday morning by 16 out of the 25 members of the house.
A vote of no confidence was passed on him before being impeached with another member, Yakubu Sanda, immediately elected as his replacement.
Mr Sanda represents Pengana constituency in the state.
