Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is currently undergoing a leg surgery, his spokesman, Laolu Akande, announced Saturday evening.
Mr Akande said the medical operation became necessary due to recurrent pain in the leg from an injury sustained while playing squash.
He said doctors treating the number two citizen would provide medical updates later in the day.
“VP Osinabjo is in the hospital today for a surgical procedure on account of a recurrent pain in the leg possibly sustained from an injury while playing squash,” he posted on Twitter, “His doctors would give an update of the treatment later today.”
