The Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has secured a court order to detain suspended policeman Abba Kyari and his accomplices fingered in illicit drug deals for two weeks pending conclusion of investigations.
Justice Zainab Abubakar gave the order in an ex-parte ruling on Tuesday at the federal high court sitting in Abuja, adding that the anti-drug agency was at liberty to apply for renewal at the expiration of the order.
Aside Mr Kyari and four other accomplices arrested alongside with him last week, others to also be detained included Chibunna Patrick Umeibe and Emeka Alphonsus (two suspected drug couriers).
