Atiku Abubakar, a former vice president, has announced that his son has tested positive to Coronavirus disease.
The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last general election made this known on Sunday through his verified Twitter handle.
He said his son has been moved to the hospital for treatment, pleading Nigerians to remember him in prayers.
“My son has tested positive to coronavirus. @NCDCGov has been duly informed, and he has been moved to Gwagwalada Specialist Teaching Hospital in Abuja for treatment and management,” the politician popularly known as Atiku said.
“I will appreciate it if you have him in your prayers. Stay safe, coronavirus is real,” he added.

As at Sunday, the cases of the pandemic disease, with additional three cases confirmed in Lagos by the Federal Ministry of Health, soared up to 30 out of which two has been discharged having tested negative.
